Emma hizo su debut cinematográfico en la comedia adolescente Supercool, en 2007, en el papel de Jules. En 2008, apareció en la comedia Un Rockero de Pelotas, con Rainn Wilson. Stone interpretaba a Amelia, la bajista en una banda con el cantante Teddy Geiger. Stone aprendió a tocar el bajo para este papel. También ese año, Stone apareció en Una Conejita en el Campus, protagonizada por Anna Faris.
